The Great Brookland Yard Sale continues to grow, with a total of 16 sales signed up as of this morning. You can get additional information and keep up with developments at the brookland blog at www.brooklandblog.blogspot.com.

The challenge for this weekend is to continue to get the word out to neighbors and friends, especially those who are not on the listserve.

As always, we have done our best to make it easy for you.

First, you can print a GBYS flier at home to hand out (Just email me at fortinandrew@hotmail.com) and I'll forward it to you.

You can stop by the Mekiti Group offices at 2710 12th Street, NE. They have preprinted fliers for you!

We continue to be on track for another great event!

Yard Sale Update

44 Yard Sales and Counting...

The map is up to date as of Friday, April 17, 2009 and we currently have 44 families participating!

If you don't see you name, let me know and I will get it up ASAP!

20 Yard Sales, Live Music and an Olive Oil Vendor

Shaping up to be a big event!

Thanks to your outreach efforts our yard sale count has now passed 20 sales and counting!

In addition to the yard sales we have added a live music stop at Dave's Yard Sale at 1300 13th Street, NE and an artisan Olive Oil market at Andrew and Sam's Yard Sale at 1254 Irving Street, NE.

Like last year, it's shaping up to be a major event to promote our community!

Kickin it into High Gear?

Brooklanders, thanks to all for who have already responded as interested in participating in the 2009 GBYS. We've got some solid numbers to start things off and a lot of folks willing to lend a helping hand.

The preliminary map will start to come together this week along with a call for more participants.

Expect more regular updates to the Blog as we move forward.
